Why I still sketch on paper before opening Figma

Every tool I open on a screen nudges me toward finishing something. Paper doesn't do that — it's slow and disposable, which is precisely what makes it good for the stage where ideas should still be allowed to be bad. I still start almost every project with a pencil, before any of that gets lost to the speed of the tools. More on this as the piece develops.
